Set within the exhibition, it introduces visitors to the life and work of Wincenty Sle\u0144dzi\u0144ski, the renowned 19th-century painter and participant in the 1863-1864 Uprising. Each participant receives an A4 sheet bearing a small fragment of one of his paintings \u2014 a clue, or a puzzle of sorts. Moving through the exhibition, visitors search for the original work from which the fragment is taken. Once found, the creative part begins: using pencils or pastels, participants extend the fragment to complete the painting in their own way. Each drawing becomes a personal dialogue with the artist and his work, a chance to see how differently we can interpret the same image.<\/p>\n Suitable for schoolchildren, adults, senior citizens, and families. What do one\u2019s gaze, posture, or garment details reveal about the sitter?<\/p>\n This workshop takes a closer look at the portraits painted by Wincenty Sle\u0144dzi\u0144ski, uncovering the stories hidden within them. Participants examine facial expressions, clothing, and posture. The group will discuss what portraits can tell us about the everyday life of people in the 19th century, their social status, and maybe even discover the artist’s perspective on what is depicted.<\/p>\n In the practical part of the workshop, participants create a narrative for a character of their choice: a prosperous townsperson, a fallen nobleman, or someone living on the fringes of society.<\/p>\n Suitable for preschool-age children, schoolchildren, adults, senior citizens, and families. Your goal is to discover the secrets of the exhibition and solve the riddles.<\/p>\n This workshop introduces participants to the life, work, and environment of Wincenty Sle\u0144dzi\u0144ski. It also explores the details within paintings that can reveal history, everyday life, and perhaps an entirely different vision of Vilnius.<\/p>\n In the practical part, participants will work in teams to embark on an adventure through the exhibition. Searching for details in paintings, solving crosswords and puzzles, comparing the old and the present-day Vilnius, and completing other tasks, they will attempt to decipher the encoded clues found in the paintings and other exhibits.<\/p>\n This workshop is suitable for schoolchildren, adults, senior citizens, and families.
