Swiss Campaign Posters from 1918 to the Present<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Visiting the exhibition of works by the recipient of the Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Arts Egl\u0117 Ridikait\u0117, it\u2018s worth paying special attention to the work <em>Cultured Floor<\/em>. For the artist, fragments of forgotten beauty serve as references to a bond of love, traces of faith which inspire her to go forward. It can be a person, a holy site or simply a cherished place in Vilnius. Last summer, she entered a synagogue in G\u0117li\u0173 Street to see the restoration in progress and noticed an ornament on the floor. She washed off the construction dust, transferred the pattern onto a plastic sheet, and now, during the exhibition, she is \u2018highlighting\u2019 the image with aerosol paint. Experiencing these works during the night might unfold new and mysterious experiences.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u0160vent\u0117 (<\/em><em>Celebration)<\/em> is a rather intriguing installation at the exhibition <em>East in the West<\/em> by the artist group White Moths (Baltos Kandys) .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The relationship of the group\u00a0<em>Baltos kandys<\/em>\u00a0with the East is twofold. By delving deep into the archetypal laws of world creation, the artists touch on images the roots of which reach not only to the symbols and rituals embedded in our tradition, but also those that exist in many other cultures. That is why in many art pieces, our fruits and herbs fit so organically with Buddhist ornamentation (<em>Mandala<\/em>), and Lithuanian and Far Eastern dishes find themselves on a common feast table (<em>Celebration<\/em>).
