Tadas\u00a0Kazakevi\u010dius\u00a0represents\u00a0<\/span>Lithuanian documentary photography,\u00a0predominantly of\u00a0the humanist trend of candid portraits. Currently he works\u00a0intensely\u00a0on several series, dedicated to portraits in industrial settings,\u00a0the theme of religious faith and\u00a0that\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0deportations to Siberia.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0latter them\u00a0of\u00a0the deportations to Siberia\u00a0is\u00a0explored\u00a0also by\u00a0<\/span>Claudia\u00a0Heinermann,\u00a0a\u00a0German-born artist,\u00a0who lives and works in the Netherlands. The\u00a0“Siberian Exiles – Baltic Testimonies of Soviet Repression\u201d,\u00a0currently on\u00a0view\u00a0at the Lithuanian National Gallery of Art of the LNMA, is a series of photographs that took the artist seven years to produce.\u00a0Claudia\u00a0Heinermann<\/span>\u00a0dedicates herself\u00a0to the\u00a0long-term documentary projects, dealing with the\u00a0contemporary historic issues such as\u00a0the\u00a0genocide and the aftermath of war. Her photographic projects, in the field of history, have taken the artist to\u00a0Bosnia, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Belgium, Germany, and Rwanda.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At 12:00 a.m.\u00a0Sunday, January 25,\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Claudia\u00a0Heinermann\u00a0will give\u00a0a tour of the exhibition\u00a0\u201cSiberian Exiles. Baltic Testimonies of Soviet Repression\u201d,\u00a0introducing, in greater detail, into her long-term creative explorations.\u00a0The\u00a0discussion and the\u00a0tour\u00a0are\u00a0free of charge and will be conducted in English.\u00a0No booking\u00a0required.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
