The Lithuanian National Museum of Art (LNMA) is one of the country’s largest art museums, uniting eleven branches operating in Vilnius, Klaipėda, Palanga, and Juodkrantė: nine museums and two national competence centers.
The LNMA collects, preserves, researches, and presents to the public an extensive and diverse visual art collection encompassing historical and contemporary art, applied and folk art, rare amber and jewelry pieces, and other museum objects. The collection that forms the foundation of the museum’s activities is consistently enriched with exceptional exhibits significant to Lithuanian and world culture.
The LNMA invites you to discover Lithuanian and world art in different cities across the country. In Vilnius, the National Gallery of Art, Vilnius Picture Gallery, Radvilų Palace Museum of Art, Vytautas Kasiulis Art Museum, and Museum of Applied Arts and Design are open to visitors. In Klaipėda, the Pranas Domšaitis Gallery and Clock Museum await, in Palanga—the Palanga Amber Museum, and in Juodkrantė—the Pamario Gallery.
The museum is committed to preserving art heritage for future generations: in the renovated and modernly equipped Pranas Gudynas Restoration Center, it restores and conserves artworks, while the Lithuanian Museum Information, Digitization, and LIMIS Center provides digitization services to all museums in the country.
